This video is about the start learning mathematics. Here, we discuss the complex numbers. We want to solve some quadratic equations that are not solvable with real numbers. This leads to a discretisation of the multiplication and therefore to a second dimension. There we need to define addition and multiplication. We still find that have a field but we will lose the nice ordering.
